Verna Bremer ( nee Winkels), age 89, of Holland, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 at Appledorn Living Center. She was a member of Maranatha Christian Reformed Church. Verna was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin (Mike) Bremer, in 2006; sister, Mrs. Nelson ( Myrtle) Ver Beek; and brother, Melvin Winkels. She is survived by her son, Dr. Calvin and Cheryl Bremer of Grandville; daughters, Gayle and George Vande Werken of Highland, IN, Gloria and Robert Wiersma of Grand Haven, Beverly and Steven Baumann of Holland; 10 grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren; sisters, Shirley and Willus Lambers of Holland, Donna and Carl Haverdink of Jenison; step- sisters, Mrs. Harvey (Julia) Brower of Zeeland, Mrs. George (Betty) Brower of Ypsilanti; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are scheduled for 10:30–11:45 a.m., followed by her funeral service at noon on Tuesday, April 17 at the Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E 16th St., Holland. Rev. Matthew Stob and Dr. Calvin Bremer will officiate. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Holland Christian Schools.

Obituary Marvin P. Bremer
Marvin "Mike" P. Bremer, age 84, of Holland died Friday morning, November 17, 2006. Before retirement he was co owner of Bremer and Bouman Heating and Cooling for 23 years and a member of Holland Home Builders. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Mike served as a pilot during WWII. Mike was a member of Maranatha Christian Reformed Church where he served as an elder. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Verna; four children and their spouses, Calvin and Janelle Bremer of Dyer, IN, Gayle and George Vande Werken of Highland, IN, Gloria and Robert Wiersma of Grand Haven, Beverly and Steven Baumann of Holland; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Willis Lambers of Holland, Donna and Carl Haverdink of Jenison; step sisters-in- law, Agnes Brower of Holland, Julia Brower of Zeeland, Betty Brower of Ypsilanti. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2006 at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 918 Central Avenue, Holland with Scott A. De Vries officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visiting hours at Notier Ver Lee Langeland Funeral Chapel, 315 East 16th Street, Holland will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
